I just snapped a few pics...

I feel bad that I havent been taking more pictures. We have so much fun just playing with the little guy that we dont think to pick up the camera. I know we need to start doing that, but we go in streaks where we take a lot of pictures then we take none. Hopefully we will start taking more here over the next few weeks. I think Joaqo will be crawling soon, so that will be interesting!

Here are a few pictures I snapped during lunchtime at home.

Joaquin also likes it a lot when you blow in his face. I get a little light headed sometimes because it is so funny. His arms and legs fly around and his eyes are wide open...he seems to love it!

Shhhh.... Mommy thinks I'm sleeping...

Well it appears that Daddy & Mommy are a bit behind in updating my blog so I guess I'll jump in and do it. Lets' see here... OK so Mommy last told you all that I was a fabulous kid on the plane. Yeah - that was pretty neat. I thought I'd give them both a break and be on my best behavior. They do try really hard to make me happy.
Hmmmm... since then I have achieved some more greatness. I am crawling a bit - I can make it all the way across my gym. I must admit my form is not very pretty and I do struggle a little, but I do make it to my destination. Give me a couple more weeks.
I am also training Mommy and Daddy very well. It seems that whenever I appear the slightest bit unhappy they both come running. Mwahahahaha - I love it :-) This morning Mommy was in the kitchen and I wanted her to hang out with me so I got her to move me to where I could see her and then I kept dropping my puppy, Priscilla just so she would come and get it for me (check out the pics below.) I do love that puppy - thanks Grandma Hintz :-)
Yesterday Grandma and Grandpa Kelley came over and I took a little nap so that they could hang out with Mommy and Daddy. I thought I was being nice, but apparently Grandma Kelley wanted to hang out with me because she woke me up. It was a nice surprise, but I am not a morning person. After I fussed a bit, we all had a really nice time - I crawled and chatted with them for a while.
Oh yeah - I must tell you about my first football game experience. Now Daddy loves football and is a big fan of the Green Bay Packers. Mommy doesn't really care about football but she is a fan of the New York Giants. Wouldn't ya know, they both played each other on Sunday for the championship. Daddy was all excited about the game. He took me to a New York pizzeria and paraded me around in my Packers outfit. That was a little scary but exciting. Mommy kept telling us that her team was gonna win, but we thought she was silly - from what I had seen and heard the Green Bay team is really good. But Mommy was right - the Giants won and now I need a Giants outfit to wear for the Superbowl.
OK, I think I hear Mommy coming - I have to get back in my crib :-)

A Few Words from Mommy...

Well the holidays are over and 2008 is here - I can't believe it. The last year has truly flown by. I have no idea where the last 3 months have gone. Joaquin has grown so much - it is truly amazing. He was so small when we brought him home from the hospital; now he is almost 15 pounds and I'm having a little trouble carrying him around. Ryan and I had to take turns holding him at the airports in between flights because our arms would get tired. Joaquin's first flying experience was a success. He was the most perfect little man on the airplanes and in the airports. Ryan and I didn't have to be "those" people with the screaming baby. (Now, though I have much more patience and understanding for "those" people.)

Wisconsin was a nice time. Joaquin got to hang Grandma & Grandpa Hintz. He also got to meet his Uncle J, Great Aunt Terri, & Great Grandma & Grandpa Trofimoff. He also got to meet Maddy - our friends' gorgeous 2 year old and Joaqo's current love interest.
It was sooo cold there - I had forgotten what anything below 50 degrees felt like. While Ryan and I froze - literally running to the car, Joaquin was toasty warm in the snowsuit his Grandma Hintz had for him (not to mention absolutely adorable.) He loved putting it on and smiled every time he got to wear it.

I can only imagine the adventures 2008 has for Ryan & me. 2007 held many changes for us - I honestly believe they were for the best. Life is fun - "...little surprises around every corner, but nothing dangerous." We both love Joaquin so very much - I can't imagine not having him in my life.

"Do I look good, or what?"
