Hey everyone. Penny has picked up the slack and has taken over posting duties. We are heading out this weekend to get a webcam. So, hopefully we will be able to do some video conferencing with family. That will be fun.

Also, Penny made a comment this weekend that I thought was pretty cool. She said this blog is essentially Joaquin's baby book. So, if you are reading this, please comment because it won't be long before the little guy is walking. next thing you know he will be reading...and he will be reading his blog. So, post some comments for Joaquin and Penny and i enjoy reading them as well.

Grandma's Visit

Grandma Hintz and Aunt Kathy came for a visit a week ago. It was perfect timimg, too. Joaquin is crawling, sitting up and is much more interactive at 7 months. We all had a lot of fun. Little Man hasn't had so much excitement for quite some time. It was funny because he didn't want to sleep very much the whole time Jacque & Kathy were here - he didn't want t o miss anything. We went to the Tucson Botanical Gardens, the San Xavier Mission, the Farmer's Market & the Desert Museum. Oh yes, and there were quite a few shopping excursions in there as well. Grandma and Grandpa Kelley came over. The entire visit was fantastic.

The Zoo!!

A few weeks ago the Tucson zoo had a free family day so we decided to check it out. What a nice day!! The weather was awesome - we all had a great afternoon. Ryan carried Joaquin around most of the time so he could see the animals up closer. There were baboons, giraffes, elephants, peacocks, a polar bear, turtles, a tiger, lions, bears - the whole box of animal crackers. There were so many people there and so many of them stopped to tell us how cute Little Man was. They are absolutely right :-)

Joaquin is growing so fast. He can sit up now and can crawl. He also responds to his name. It's really amazing.
