Summer of Mobility

It's a nice quiet Sunday morning with Daddy and the B sleeping so I thought I'd take a few to update you all on what's been going on in the life of Little Man. As you know, May was a pretty busy month for us with lots of visitors. We all had such a fun time - I can't believe how quickly May ended. And now I can't believe June is almost over. June has been awesome (Well, with the exception of the 110 degree heat - this is our "winter.") Joaqo has made some great strides in his getting around. He is a fast little crawler. I have to remember to put the kitties' food and water out of reach when he is cruising around. Otherwise he makes a bee line right for them and proceeds to grab fistfuls of food to hurl into the kitchen. He also loves to stand any chance he gets. Now that he can sit on his own he doesn't have to whine for me when his little legs get tired. He just plops down and grabs something to play with. He absolutely loves his entertainment center and runs around it in circles laughing. I remember when his big toe would barely touch the ground in it. Now both his little feet are firmly planted and know how to make him go. I am thinking that he will be walking on his own pretty soon.
Since it's been so dreadfully hot we've been doing a lot of swimming. There's this floaty thing we have that allows him to sit in one end while the other end goes around our waist (I definitely need to get you guys a pic of this) so we do laps around the pool and he has a good time. I think he has an even better time in the baby pool at Grandma and Grandpa Kelley's - his kicks his little feet and splashes his hands. That's what we did for Father's Day - a nice lunch at the restaurant, Sauce where the B sat in a high chair (must also get a pic of that) and then we all went swimming.
June, although it seems to have flown by has been full of good times. We'll get more pics today so I'll update this again soon. Hope you all are having wonderful Sundays :-)
